Long-Spined Sea Urchin (Diadema antillarum): extremely long, thin, dark spines.

Rock-Boring Urchin (Echinometra lacunter): test reddish in color, spines numerous, short, and thick.

Slate-Pencil Urchin (Eucidaris tribuloides): spines very thick with blunt tips.

West Indian Sea Egg (Tripneustes ventricosus): short, thin white spines with dark test. Generally cover themselves with sea grass or other detritis.
